About the slide switch

Inside the battery compartment there is a small slide switch. The pairing steps call for position 1, so set it there before you start and leave it alone afterward. If pairing will not take, check this switch first, since a bumped switch is a common cause.

Setup & Pairing

Have the remote in hand before you touch the power, since timing matters.

1. Slide off the battery cover of the remote, load two AAA batteries, and keep the cover off.
2. Check the slide switch next to the batteries and set it to 1.
3. Turn the fan off at the wall switch or breaker, wait a few seconds, then switch it back on.
4. Within 30 seconds, press and release the Learn button inside the battery compartment.
5. When the light flashes and the blades begin to spin, pairing is complete. No response? Start over from the power-cycle step.
6. Close the cover and try a few buttons to confirm everything responds.

Tip: pair one fan at a time if two fans share a circuit.
