The bronze Beach Creek 52-in, model TG52OSB3D1RC, is Lowe's item 0883809. It's a big-room fan, and without its remote you lose easy access to low speed and dimming. Our replacement restores both and comes with a wall holder.

Most ceiling fans carry a small sticker on top of the motor housing, above the blades. With the fan switched off, climb a sturdy step ladder and look down onto the housing. The sticker lists the model number, sometimes beside a Lowe's item number. If the print is tiny, a zoomed-in phone photo usually makes it readable.

Where to put the wall holder

Pick a spot you pass every day, like beside the light switch by the door, at about switch height. Keep it off walls that bake in direct sun and away from the stove. Fasten the holder with small screws or anchors that suit your wall. Then the remote always has a home and stops wandering into the couch cushions.

You'll need one 12V A23 battery. It isn't in the box.

Setup & Pairing

No DIP switches here. Just follow these steps.

Insert a fresh 12V A23 into the new remote with the positive end facing the top, and put the battery door back.
Cut power to the fan with the wall switch or breaker for a few seconds, then restore it.
Within 30 seconds, press and hold the 0 (fan off) button for about 5 seconds, until the fan light blinks twice.
Press each speed button in turn and toggle the light to confirm the pairing took.
Pair with any other remote-controlled fans turned off at the wall, so they don't pick up this remote as well.

In the box: TG52OSB3D1RC replacement remote with a wall holder. You'll need one 12V A23 battery, not included.
