Pairing basics
Ceiling fan remotes connect to the receiver in your fan in one of two ways. Your remote's instructions will tell you which one it uses.
DIP switch remotes
Small switches inside the battery compartment set a code. Set the switches on your new remote to match the receiver in your fan.
Learning / pairing remotes
These pair with a button press shortly after power is restored to the fan. Follow the timing in your instructions exactly — that's the most common reason pairing doesn't work.
Always turn off power at the breaker before opening the fan canopy or working on the receiver.

Can you send me the manual for my remote?
Yes. If you don't see it here, email us your remote's model number and we will send the instructions we have for it.
My new remote won't pair. What should I try?
Check the batteries first, then follow the pairing steps in your instructions exactly — timing matters. If it still won't pair, call us during business hours and we will walk you through it.
Need help pairing your remote?
