Will This Remote Fit?
This remote is made to replace the A25-FA0138. Check the label on your old remote (often inside the battery cover) — if it reads A25-FA0138, this is the one you need.

About the Harbor Breeze A25-FA0138 Remote
A25-FA0138 sits in the small regulatory print on the back of the remote that came with some Harbor Breeze Mazon fans. When that handset is cracked, chewed or simply gone, the fan sits at one speed and the light can't be dimmed. This replacement fixes both.
Fans that left the factory with the A25-FA0138 remote, including Litex Wendling models and the Harbor Breeze Mazon 44-in, pair with it using a learning code. Match the number on your old handset to this page, then cycle the power and hold 0.
- Learns the receiver already in your fan
- 304.25 MHz radio signal, no aiming required
- High, medium and low, with a separate off button
- Dims the Mazon LED down to about 10%
Fan direction through the seasons
This remote handles speed and light. Blade direction is set at the fan itself; on many fans that's a small slide switch on the motor housing, and your manual shows where yours is. In summer, run the blades counterclockwise for a cooling breeze. In winter, switch to clockwise on low to push warm air down from the ceiling without a draft.
No aiming needed
This is a radio remote, not an infrared one, so you don't need to point it at the fan. It works from the couch, the bed or the doorway. If it suddenly only works when you stand right under the fan, a weak battery is the usual cause, so try a fresh A23 before anything else.
Before you order
- Older Mazon hugger fans whose remote has a Learn button pair a different way. Check your old remote first.
- Receivers from other remote families won't learn it. Match your number before you order.
Setup & Pairing
Setup takes about a minute and needs no tools.
- Slide the battery door open, fit a 12V A23 with the positive end at the top, then snap the door shut.
- To keep other fans from learning it, leave them powered off at the wall until pairing is done.
- Cut power to the fan with the wall switch or breaker for a few seconds, then restore it.
- Before 30 seconds pass, press and keep holding 0 for around 5 seconds until the light flashes twice.
- Press each speed button in turn and toggle the light to confirm the pairing took.
In the box: A25-FA0138 replacement remote plus a wall mount holder. Add one 12V A23 battery, which isn't included.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if my Mazon fan still doesn't respond?
The receiver may have failed. Mazon 44-in fans use a plug-in ITL-F12015A receiver that can be swapped at the motor, so check for the square plug before ordering a replacement receiver.
Should the wall switch stay on?
Yes. The fan needs power for the remote to work, so leave the switch on and use the remote for speed and light.
What battery does the A25-FA0138 remote take?
One 12V A23 battery, sometimes labeled 23A. It isn't included, so pick one up before the remote arrives.
Does a quick tap dim the light?
No. A tap switches the light on or off. Hold the button down to dim.
Can one remote run two fans?
Yes. One remote can be paired to more than one receiver. Power both fans up together and pair once if you want them to run as a pair.
When will my order ship?
In-stock orders placed by 4 PM, Monday to Friday, ship the same business day.
What is your return policy?
You can return items within 90 days. Items must be unused and uninstalled, in their original packaging. No restocking fees. Please read our return policy before sending anything back. Questions? Call (816) 586-8457 or email info@fanremotes.com.
