Light out but fan running

If the remote runs the blades but the light stays dark, the remote and receiver are talking fine. Check the light itself: an integrated LED module or its driver can fail on its own. Confirm the light was working with the old remote before you suspect the new one.

Signs of weak batteries

Weak batteries rarely fail all at once. The first clues are a shorter range, buttons that need a second press, or a light that responds slowly to dimming. When you notice any of those, replace both AAA cells before you assume the remote or the fan has a fault.

Before you order

AC fans and 6-speed DC fans need a different remote.
The RH787T is a different 6-speed remote, and this one does not replace it.

Setup & Pairing

Keep the fan in sight so you can see it confirm the pairing.

Slide off the battery cover of the remote, load two AAA batteries, and keep the cover off.
Set the compartment's slide switch to position 1.
Turn the fan off at the wall switch or breaker, wait a few seconds, then switch it back on.
Right away, while the 30-second window is open, press Learn and let go.
The fan answers by flashing its light and starting the blades. If it stays still, try the sequence once more.

Tip: leave the wall switch on after pairing so the receiver keeps power. Tip: if you miss the 30-second window, just cut the power again and repeat.

In the box: YG493B-EB replacement remote and a wall holder with screws. Two AAA batteries needed, not included.
