About the Progress Lighting P2501-30W Wall Control

Progress Lighting sells the 52-inch AirPro ceiling fan as model P2501-30W. When its wall control fails, you're back to pull chains. This replacement brings back dimming up to 300 watts and four fan speeds.

We matched this wall control to the P2501-30W, so you don't have to guess. Installation is a standard hard-wired swap with the breaker off.

  • Four fan speeds plus off (1 is fastest)
  • Dims up to 300 watts of light
  • Fits a single-gang box
  • Handles fan motors up to 1.25 amps

Pull chain settings

Once the control is installed, set the fan's pull chain to high and leave it there. The slide control then sets the speed from the wall. If the chain is left on a lower setting, the slide can't reach the fan's full speed.

One fan per control

This control is rated for one fan. If two fans run from the same switch now, each needs its own control and its own wiring.

Before you order

  • Based on its product line, we expect the P2501-30W to use this wall control. Compare your old wall control with our photos, or send us a picture before you order.
  • Not for fans with a remote receiver in the canopy; for remote-ready AirPro fans use the P2631-30 instead.
  • Not for DC-motor fans.

Setup & Pairing

If you've replaced a wall switch before, this will feel familiar.

  1. Switch off the breaker that feeds the wall box.
  2. Wire the control to the fan and light circuits, following the included diagram.
  3. Mount in a single-gang box, attach the switch plate, restore power and set the fan's pull chain to high.

Keep the instructions with your fan's manual for next time.

In the box: Replacement wall control for the Progress Lighting P2501-30W fan and switch plate.
