About the Fanimation C21 Wall Control
If your C21 has quit, this wall control takes over with High, Medium, Low and Off plus tap-and-hold light dimming. With the wall plate off, C21 is printed on the label on the side or back of the old wall control. On Fanimation fans such as the Brewmaster and Kellan, this is the single-light wall control.
Match the number first: this page is for the C21. Set four DIP switches to match the receiver, wire it in, and it's ready.
- 303.875 MHz, works with 304 MHz receivers
- Wall plate, screws and wire nuts in the box
- Dedicated High, Medium, Low and Off buttons
- Light on/off with dimming
Picking a new code
If the fan or light turns on by itself, or a neighbor's fan answers your buttons, another transmitter nearby is probably using the same pattern. Pick a fresh pattern, set it on both the receiver and the wall control, and test again. Avoid the all-up or all-down patterns, since many units leave the factory that way.
Fanimation fans
Fanimation fans such as the Brewmaster and Kellan used this style of wall control. The setup is the same: match the four DIP switches to the receiver in the canopy and wire the control into the box.
Before you order
- For AC ceiling fans with a light. It will not run DC-motor fans.
- Check the DIP switches in your fan's receiver. If your receiver has no DIP switches, this control will not pair with it.
Setup & Pairing
Plan on about half an hour with the breaker off.
- At the breaker panel, switch off the circuit for the fan and the wall switch.
- Remove the old wall control from the box, noting how it was wired.
- Locate the four code switches on the canopy receiver and on the new control.
- Match the four switches on the control to the receiver, switch for switch; 16 codes are possible and nothing needs programming.
- If both are still on the factory setting, we suggest picking a new pattern and setting it on both, so a neighbor's fan can't respond to your control.
- Connect the wiring as the instructions show, then mount the control and wall plate with the included screws.
- Turn the breaker back on and try every button.
Test the circuit with a voltage tester before touching any wire.
In the box: C21 replacement wall control, wall plate, two plate screws, two mounting screws and four wire nuts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need batteries?
No. It wires into your wall switch box and runs on house power.
Will this work with my fan?
It works with fans that have a 304 MHz receiver with 4 DIP switches, like the UC7067RC, UC7067FMRX or FAN-28R, and a single light button on the old control.
My fan has separate up and down lights. Will this work?
This version has one light button, so it controls one light circuit. For fans with independent up and down lights, choose our up/down-light wall control.
Where do I find my fan's model number?
Look for a sticker on top of the motor housing, or check the owner's manual or the carton. Store order history from Lowe's or Home Depot also lists it.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. It comes with a 1-year warranty against defects.
When will my order ship?
In-stock orders placed by 4 PM, Monday to Friday, ship the same business day.
What is your return policy?
You can return items within 90 days. Items must be unused and uninstalled, in their original packaging. No restocking fees. Please read our return policy before sending anything back. Questions? Call (816) 586-8457 or email info@fanremotes.com.
