About the Fanimation C23 Wall Control

Fanimation no longer makes the C23 wall control, so our C23 replacement gets your Fanimation fan running from the wall again. You get high, medium, low and off, a reverse button, and dimming for both the up-light and the down-light.

It is made for Fanimation fans that came with the C23 wall control. Check your old control: if it reads C23 and has an up-light button and a down-light button, this is the one you need. It wires into your wall box on 120 V power and pairs by matching 4 DIP switches, with no programming.

Before you order

If your Fanimation control has only one light button, look at our C21 wall control instead.
To run the up-light and down-light separately, your fan needs an up/down-light receiver such as the UC7067GMRX. With a single-light receiver like the UC7067FMRX, only one light will work.
This is the wall control only, with no receiver. Older Fanimation systems run at 303 MHz, so contact our team if your old control's label doesn't read C23.

Setup & Pairing

Turn off power to the fan and the wall switch at the breaker.
Remove the old C23 wall control from the box, noting how it was wired.
Find the 4 DIP (code) switches on the receiver in the fan canopy and on the new wall control.
Use a pen tip or small screwdriver to set the wall control's 4 switches to exactly match the receiver. There are 16 possible codes, and no programming is needed.
If both are still on the factory setting, we suggest picking a new pattern and setting it on both, so a neighbor's fan can't respond to your control.
Wire the control into the box following the included wiring diagram, then mount it to the box.
Restore power at the breaker and test each button, including up-light and down-light.

Will this replace my Fanimation C23?

Yes. Fanimation has discontinued the C23, and this is our replacement for it. Check that your old control has an up-light button and a down-light button.
