About the Casablanca 59144 Receiver

When the Casablanca 59144 stops changing speed, will not reverse or leaves the light stuck, the receiver is a common cause. This replacement receiver restores the full set of controls, so the fan behaves the way it did when it was new.

Check the label on the fan's motor housing: 59144 means you are in the right place. The swap happens at the canopy, then it pairs with your RH787T.

Six speeds plus off

DC motors give you six speed steps instead of the usual three. The low speeds are quiet enough for sleeping and the top speeds move a lot of air on hot days. The new receiver restores the full range from your remote.

Do you need an electrician?

Not usually. If you can turn off a breaker, lower a canopy and reconnect wires the way they came apart, you can do this. If wiring is not your thing, an electrician can make the swap quickly.

Before you order

Receiver only. The remote is not included; it works with the RH787T remote.
Not for AC-motor Casablanca fans or Casablanca 4-speed universal receiver systems.

Setup & Pairing

Turn off power to the fan at the breaker, not just the wall switch.
Lower the canopy of your fan to reach the old receiver.
Before disconnecting anything, take a photo of how the old receiver is wired. Then disconnect it.
Connect the replacement receiver the same way, keeping the connections secure, and tuck it neatly back into the canopy.
Reinstall the canopy and restore power at the breaker.
Press the Set button on your RH787T within 60 seconds of restoring power, and wait about 5 minutes while the fan runs both ways.
Try every button to confirm the fan and light respond.

Tip: pair with any other nearby fan switched off.
