The Harbor Breeze Beach Creek 52-in with the bronze finish and built-in LED light is model TG52OSB3D1RC. Lowe's sold it as item 883809. The receiver is the small box in the canopy that turns remote signals into fan and light commands, and it is the part that usually quits first. It restores the three speeds and dimmable light without replacing the fan.

The model label on top of the motor housing should read TG52OSB3D1RC; if it does, you are in the right place. No codes or switches, just a power cycle and one button.

Why receivers wear out

The receiver lives in a warm, tight space above the fan, right next to the motor and light. Years of heat cycles and the occasional power spike take a toll on its parts. That is why a fan with a healthy motor can suddenly stop responding to its remote.

How to know it paired

Hold the remote's 0 (fan off) button and watch the light. Two quick blinks mean the receiver has learned the remote. If you see nothing, turn the power off again for a few seconds, bring it back and repeat. Then try each speed and the light to be sure.

Setup & Pairing

Start with the breaker: turn it off and check that the TG52OSB3D1RC is dead.
Remove the canopy cover and unhook the old receiver, keeping track of every wire.
Hook up the replacement receiver with wire nuts exactly as the old one was wired, then tuck it into the canopy.
Power down any other nearby fans first; otherwise they could pair to the same remote.
Turn the breaker back on. Within about 30 seconds, press and hold the remote's 0 (fan off) button until the light blinks twice.
Run all three speeds and try the light and dimming.

Tip: reconnect the ground wire just as it was before.
