About the Home Decorators Collection 54725 Remote

Brushed nickel suits the Mercer 54725 to a clean, bright room, and the remote keeps it that way: no dangling chains. This replacement gives you three speeds, off and light dimming again.

This remote is for the Home Decorators Collection 54725. Check the sticker on top of the motor for 54725, then set four code switches to match your receiver.

No aiming needed

The remote sends a radio signal in the 304 MHz band, so it doesn't need a clear line to the fan. Use it from the couch, the bed or the doorway. Short range almost always means a weak battery.

Remote or receiver?

If a fresh battery and a correct switch pattern still get no response, look at the receiver. A fan that hums but won't change speed, or ignores every button, often has a failed receiver. A new remote won't fix that, so replace the receiver with a matching 4-switch unit.

Before you order

For AC-motor fans only. It will not run DC-motor, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi ceiling fans.
Your fan needs a matching 4-DIP-switch receiver, such as the UC7067FMRX or FAN28R. This remote does not include a receiver.

Setup & Pairing

Turn off power to the fan at the breaker.
Find the four DIP switches on the receiver inside the fan canopy.
Copy that pattern onto the switches under the battery door of the remote.
Add a fresh 12V A23 battery.
Restore power and test each speed and the light.

Still have the old remote? Copy its switches instead and you can skip the canopy steps.
