About the Progress Lighting P2514 Wall Control

The Progress Lighting P2514 is a remote-ready AirPro ceiling fan with a receiver installed in the fan. If the original control stopped working, this one puts three speeds plus off and light control back on the wall.

It is made for the Progress Lighting P2514. Check the model sticker on the fan: if it reads P2514, this is the wall control you need. Connect it the same way as the old control, then restore power and test.

Fitting it in the box

Fold the wires neatly back into the box in a zigzag before you seat the wall control. Don't force it: if the screws won't reach, the wires are bunched behind it. Keep wire nuts toward the back and away from the mounting screws. Tighten the screws only until the wall control sits flat, then add the wall plate.

Uses the fan's receiver

This control sends its commands to the receiver that came with your AirPro fan. It doesn't include a receiver, and it won't work on a fan without one. If the fan's receiver has failed, replace that first; a new wall control can't make up for it.

Before you order

Not the same as the P2630-30 or P2613-30 slide controls, which are wired for pull-chain fans without a receiver.
Not for fans from other brands or Progress fans outside the AirPro remote-ready models.

Setup & Pairing

Work with the breaker off from start to finish.

Switch off the breaker that feeds the wall box.
Unscrew the old control from the box and note how each wire was connected.
Make the same connections on the new control, fold the wires in, and fasten it with the included hardware and plate.
Switch the power on and test. No response means the control needs matching to the receiver, which the instructions explain.

If anything about the wiring looks unfamiliar, stop and call a licensed electrician.

Why does the light flicker when I dim it?

Usually the bulbs are not dimmable, or different bulb types are mixed in one fixture. If flicker continues, try a different brand of dimmable bulb.
