Will This Wall Control Fit?
This wall control is made to replace the TW32. Check the label on your old wall control — if it reads TW32, this is the one you need.

About the Fanimation TW32 Wall Control
If your TW32 has quit, this wall control takes over with six speeds and separate up and down light controls. With the wall plate off, TW32 is printed on the label on the side or back of the old wall control. Count the light buttons on your old control: one for the up light and one for the down light means this is the version.
Your old wall control should carry TW32 on its label; if it does, this replacement fits. After wiring, a press of SET starts a short learning run, and then it's ready.
- Separate up light and down light, each with full-range dimming
- Shuts down if motor power goes over 80W
- Hard-wired, never lost like a handheld
- Single-gang mounting
Tools for the job
Plan on a screwdriver, a wire stripper, a non-contact voltage tester and a flashlight. Needle-nose pliers help with tight boxes. Have a few spare wire nuts on hand in case an old one is cracked. A phone camera rounds out the kit, since a photo of the old hookup is the easiest wiring guide you'll find.
What the battery is for
One 12V A23 battery sits under the faceplate and powers the control's transmitter. When it gets weak, pop off the faceplate and swap it; nothing else needs to change.
Before you order
- Not for AC-motor fans; DC-motor fans only.
- Has separate up light and down light controls. If your old control has only one light button, choose our single-light version instead.
Setup & Pairing
Take a photo of the old wiring first.
- Switch off the breaker for the fan.
- Pop off the faceplate and fit the 12V A23 battery underneath.
- Set the same code on the control's switches and, if present, the receiver's.
- Wire it in, fasten it to the box and restore power.
- Before 60 seconds pass, press and hold the SET button for 1-5 seconds.
- Expect the fan to run forward and reverse for about 5 minutes before it stops. Then it's ready.
- After a blade change, run this setup again.
If anything about the wiring looks unfamiliar, stop and call a licensed electrician.
In the box: TW32 replacement wall control, plus a wall plate and mounting screws.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need a neutral wire?
Yes. The control is powered from line and neutral in the wall box.
Do I need to redo setup if I change the blades?
Yes. Run the SET setup again after a blade change.
How many speeds does it have?
Six speeds plus off, and reverse.
Why does the light flicker when I dim it?
Usually the bulbs are not dimmable, or different bulb types are mixed in one fixture. For non-dimmable bulbs, set the light switch inside the control to on/off only (D).
Which direction should the fan turn in winter?
Clockwise on a low speed, seen from below. In summer, run it counterclockwise for a cooling downdraft.
When will my order ship?
In-stock orders placed by 4 PM, Monday to Friday, ship the same business day.
