Run through the usual causes. The slide switch in the battery compartment must sit on position 1. The Learn button has to be pressed within the window after power returns, so stand ready with the remote before you flip the breaker back on. Fresh batteries matter too. Repeat the steps calmly; a second try often works.

Setup & Pairing

Pairing uses the Learn button and a quick power-cycle.

Install two AAA cells in the remote; you will need the open compartment for the next steps.
Push the slide switch inside the battery area to setting 1.
Turn the fan off at the wall switch or breaker, wait a few seconds, then switch it back on.
Before 30 seconds pass, give the Learn button in the compartment one press.
A flashing light and moving blades confirm the pairing. If you see neither, run the steps again.
Snap the battery door back on and test speed, light and reverse.

Tip: stand where you can see the fan before restoring power.
