About the Minka-Aire WC115 Wall Control

When the WC115 on your wall stops working, you lose easy control of the fan. This replacement brings back four speeds plus off from a single slide. Remove the wall plate and look at the body of the old wall control: the WC115 number is on its label. The original is a 4-speed slide control with no light dimmer, wired with just two wires.

If WC115 is the number on your old wall control, you're in the right place. Installation is a simple 2-wire swap with the breaker off.

Fan only

This control runs fan speed only. It has no light control or dimmer, so any light on the circuit needs its own switch. If your old control dimmed a light, it was a different model.

Big fan, four speeds

A 62-inch fan moves a lot of air even on its lowest setting. Four speeds give you finer steps than a three-speed pull chain, so it's easier to find a setting that's comfortable but not drafty.

Before you order

• One fan only per control.
• No light control or dimming: if your old control had a light dimmer, you likely need the WC110 or WC116 instead.

Setup & Pairing

Plan on about half an hour, and have a voltage tester handy.

1. Turn off power at the breaker.
2. Disconnect the old control and wire the new one to the same two house wires.
3. Fasten it in the box, turn the breaker on and try each of the four speeds.

Tuck the wires neatly into the box so the control sits flat.
