About the Fanimation TW30WH Wall Control

A worn or failed TW30WH doesn't mean a new fan. This wall control restores a dimmable light, six fan speeds and reverse. Remove the wall plate and look at the body of the old wall control: the TW30WH number is on its label. The original has a single light button, which this version matches.

If TW30WH is the number on your old wall control, you're in the right place. After wiring, a press of SET starts a short learning run, and then it's ready.

  • Six DC fan speeds plus off
  • Reverse button
  • Light on/off with full-range dimming
  • Shuts down if motor power goes over 80W

The 5-minute learning run

After you press SET, the fan runs in both directions for about 5 minutes and then stops. That's normal: the fan is learning the blades. Once it stops, it's ready to use. If you change the blades later, run the setup again.

What the battery is for

One 12V A23 battery sits under the faceplate and powers the control's transmitter. When it gets weak, pop off the faceplate and swap it; nothing else needs to change.

Before you order

  • Not for AC-motor fans; DC-motor fans only.
  • Single light control only. If your old control has separate up light and down light buttons, choose our up/down-light version instead.

Setup & Pairing

You'll need a neutral wire in the box; check before you start.

  1. Turn off power to the fan at the breaker.
  2. Pop off the faceplate and fit the 12V A23 battery underneath.
  3. Match the control's code switches to the fan's receiver, if the receiver has switches.
  4. Wire the control into the wall box and mount it, then restore power.
  5. Before 60 seconds pass, press and hold the SET button for 1-5 seconds.
  6. The fan will spin both ways for about 5 minutes, then stop; that means it's paired.
  7. If you ever change the blades, repeat this setup.

Tuck the wires neatly into the box so the control sits flat.

In the box: TW30WH replacement wall control, wall plate and mounting screws.
