About the Progress Lighting P2528 Wall Control

The Progress Lighting P2528 is a remote-ready AirPro ceiling fan with a receiver installed in the fan. When its wall control fails, you lose easy control of the fan and light. This replacement brings back three speeds plus off and light control.

We matched this wall control to the P2528, so you don't have to guess. It's powered by your house wiring, so there are no batteries.

When to call an electrician

If you find aluminum wiring, scorched insulation, loose or brittle wires, or you can't tell which wire runs to the fan, stop and call a licensed electrician. The same goes if your home's breaker panel isn't labeled. A pro can finish this kind of swap quickly, and you'll know the job is done right.

With or without the handheld

The original control was designed to work alongside the fan's handheld remote or in its place. Keep the handheld on the nightstand and the wall control by the door, or use the wall control on its own.

Before you order

Does not include a receiver: your fan must already have the AirPro receiver that came with it.
Not the same as the P2630-30 or P2613-30 slide controls, which are wired for pull-chain fans without a receiver.

Setup & Pairing

If you've replaced a wall switch before, this will feel familiar.

Switch off the breaker that feeds the wall box.
Take out the old control and label each wire as you disconnect it.
Connect the new control the same way and mount it in the wall box with the included hardware and switch plate.
Switch the power on and test. No response means the control needs matching to the receiver, which the instructions explain.

Keep the instructions with your fan's manual for next time.
