About the Progress Lighting P2501-20 Wall Control

The Progress Lighting P2501-20 is the 52-inch AirPro ceiling fan. If the original control stopped working, this one restores four speeds plus off and dimming for dimmable LEDs.

It is made for the Progress Lighting P2501-20. Check the model sticker on the fan: if it reads P2501-20, this is the wall control you need. Wire it to the fan and light circuits, then set the fan's pull chain to high.

  • Fits a single-gang box
  • Handles fan motors up to 1.25 amps
  • UL/cUL listed for dry indoor locations

Before you contact us

A photo of the old wall control, including any label on its side, plus a photo of the wires in the box, answers most questions. Add the fan's model sticker if you can reach it. Tell us what the fan and light do now. Our team is at (816) 586-8457 or info@fanremotes.com.

Two circuits needed

This control runs the fan and the light separately, so the wall box needs one wire to the fan and another to the light. If a single switched wire feeds both, the dimmer can't work without extra wiring. Look in the box: a red wire alongside the black is a common sign of separate circuits, but test before you assume.

Before you order

  • Based on its product line, we expect the P2501-20 to use this wall control. Compare your old wall control with our photos, or send us a picture before you order.

Setup & Pairing

Work with the breaker off from start to finish.

  1. Switch off the breaker that feeds the wall box.
  2. Hook up the house wires and the separate fan and light wires exactly as the instructions show.
  3. Fasten the control, fit the plate, restore power, then set the fan's pull chain to its high position.

If anything about the wiring looks unfamiliar, stop and call a licensed electrician.

In the box: Replacement wall control for the Progress Lighting P2501-20 fan, plus a switch plate.

What tools will I need?
