About the Progress Lighting P2501-15 Wall Control

Your Progress Lighting P2501-15 is the 52-inch AirPro ceiling fan. A new wall control is all it takes to bring back slide fan speed control and a dimmer rated up to 300 watts.

Owners of the P2501-15 can order with confidence once the model sticker matches. It fits a standard single-gang box with the included switch plate.

  • Slide from speed 1, fastest, to 4, slowest
  • Full-range dimmer up to 300W, including dimmable LEDs
  • Single-gang fit with switch plate included
  • Rated 120V, 1.25A fan motor

Tools for the job

Plan on a screwdriver, a wire stripper, a non-contact voltage tester and a flashlight. Needle-nose pliers help with tight boxes. Have a few spare wire nuts on hand in case an old one is cracked. A phone camera rounds out the kit, since a photo of the old hookup is the easiest wiring guide you'll find.

Dimming LED bulbs

The full-range dimmer handles up to 300 watts of light, including dimmable LEDs. Choose bulbs marked dimmable and keep them the same brand in every socket for even dimming.

Before you order

  • Based on its product line, we expect the P2501-15 to use this wall control. Compare your old wall control with our photos, or send us a picture before you order.
  • Not for DC-motor fans.
  • Needs two separate circuits (one for the fan, one for the light); it will not dim the light over a single shared wire.

Setup & Pairing

Here's the swap, step by step.

  1. Shut off the circuit at the breaker panel.
  2. Connect the control to the separate fan and light wires in the wall box as shown in the instructions.
  3. Fasten the control, fit the plate, restore power, then set the fan's pull chain to its high position.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this replacement wall control for the Progress Lighting P2501-15 fit my ceiling fan?

It fits the 1 model listed under Compatible Models on this page. If your model isn’t listed, call us at (816) 586-8457 and we’ll check for you.

Do I need separate wires for the fan and light?

Yes. It needs one circuit for the fan and another for the light.

Can I run two fans from it?

No. It is rated for one fan per control.

What should the fan's pull chain be set to?

High. Then the slide sets the speed.

Is this the original Progress Lighting part?

No. It's a new Comfort Direct replacement built to work like the original wall control, and it carries our 1-year warranty.

Do I need an electrician?

If you've replaced a wall switch before, you can likely do this yourself with the breaker off. If the wiring is unclear or looks damaged, hire a licensed electrician.

When will my order ship?

In-stock orders placed by 4 PM, Monday to Friday, ship the same business day.

What is your return policy?

You can return items within 90 days. Items must be unused and uninstalled, in their original packaging. No restocking fees. Please read our return policy before sending anything back. Questions? Call (816) 586-8457 or email info@fanremotes.com.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Every product we sell comes with a 1-year warranty against defects. If it fails because of a defect, contact us and we’ll send a replacement.
