About the Minka-Aire F569WH Remote

Minka-Aire sells the 52-inch Supra ceiling fan in white as model F569WH. When its remote goes missing or quits, the fan is stuck on its last setting. This replacement brings back three speeds and light dimming from up to about 30 feet.

One remote per fan

Each remote is meant to run one fan. Keep a dedicated one for every fan in the house and mark the back with the room name. That keeps the bedroom fan from starting when someone adjusts the living room, and it makes troubleshooting simple: if one fan stops answering, you know exactly which remote and receiver belong together.

Garage door interference

Some garage door openers share the same airwaves, and an unlucky code match can make the fan or the door react. The fix is simple: choose a new pattern and set it on both the receiver and the remote. Leave the opener alone.

Before you order

Your fan needs a 304 MHz 4-DIP-switch receiver, such as the FAN28R or UC7067FMRX. This remote does not include a receiver.
If your fan's receiver has a learn button and no DIP switches, this is not the right remote.

Setup & Pairing

If your old remote is still around, you can copy its switches instead of the receiver's.

Open the battery door to find the four code switches.
With the power off, check the switches on the receiver in the canopy and note the pattern.
Set the remote's switches to exactly the same pattern. No learning or programming step is needed.
Snap in a 9V battery, then test each speed and the light, rechecking the switches if needed.

If a neighbor's fan or your garage door reacts, change the pattern on both the receiver and the remote.
