CHQ8BT7051R is printed on the label of the receiver itself, which sits in the fan's canopy or switch housing. Your old receiver's plug should match this one's harness connector.

Where the receiver is

The receiver usually sits in the canopy at the ceiling or in the switch housing below the motor. Turn off power at the breaker before you open either one.

Matching your remote

Open your remote's battery compartment and note its DIP switch positions. Set the receiver's switches to exactly the same positions. Your existing remote then works with the new receiver.

Setup & Pairing

You'll need a ladder and someone to steady it.

Shut off the fan's circuit at the breaker.
Check the DIP switches inside your remote's battery compartment and note them.
Set the receiver's DIP switches to match, switch for switch.
Connect the receiver with the fan's existing harness or wiring and seat it in the canopy or switch housing.
Turn the breaker on and try every button.

Keep the old receiver until the new one works.
