About the Home Decorators Collection AM382B-EB Remote

The espresso bronze Brette II is small enough for a laundry room or a covered porch, and its remote matters more than usual when the fan hangs over furniture. This replacement handles high, medium, low, off and the dimmable LED light.

This remote is for the Home Decorators Collection AM382B-EB. Look for AM382B-EB on the fan label, then match the four code switches to the receiver in the canopy.

AC motors only

This remote works with AC-motor fans that use a 4-DIP-switch receiver. It won't run DC-motor fans, or fans controlled over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, because those use completely different receivers. If your fan came with an app, this isn't the remote for it.

Changing fan direction

There is no reverse button on this remote. To switch direction, stop the fan and slide the direction switch on the motor housing, found on most AC ceiling fans. Run the blades counterclockwise in summer for a breeze, and clockwise on low in winter to move warm air down.

Before you order

Brette II fans with Wi-Fi or voice control use a different system. This remote is for the version with a 4-DIP-switch receiver.
For AC-motor fans only. It will not run DC-motor, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi ceiling fans.

Setup & Pairing

Setup takes a few minutes with a screwdriver and a step ladder.

Insert one 12V A23 battery (not included).
Shut off the breaker that feeds the fan, not just the wall switch.
Locate the receiver in the canopy and read its four code switches.
Open the remote's battery cover and set its four DIP switches to the same pattern.
Turn the breaker back on and try high, medium, low, off and the light.

In the box: Replacement remote for the AM382B-EB fan; wall mount; mounting screws. Add one 12V A23 battery.
