About the Hampton Bay 92211 Remote

The 92211 is a 54 in. Hampton Bay LED fan. If its remote has gone missing, this replacement brings back three speeds, the off button, light on/off and press-and-hold dimming.

Porch and patio tips

Use a plain wall switch, not a dimmer

This fan should be wired to a plain on/off wall switch, not a wall dimmer. The remote already dims the light, and the receiver in the canopy needs steady power to listen for it. Leave the wall switch on and let the remote do the work.

Setup & Pairing

Setup takes a few minutes and needs no programming.

Remove the rear cover of the remote and find the row of tiny switches near the battery slot.
Line up switches 1 to 4 with the code from your old remote, flipping each one until the two match exactly.
Leave switch 5 on for a dimmable light, or turn it off for one that can't dim.
Add the A23 battery, replace the cover and run through high, medium, low, off and the light.
No record of the old code? Work through the 16 combinations one at a time until the fan responds.
For a second fan in the house, choose a separate code so each remote runs only its own fan.

In the box: Replacement remote for the 92211 fan, a wall holder with 2 screws, and the programming manual. The A23 battery is sold separately.
