About the Casablanca 59164 Receiver

Model 59164 is the Casablanca Stealth DC 54-in in brushed nickel, with an LED light. Its six speeds, reverse and the light all run through the receiver in the canopy. When that receiver fails, this replacement takes its place and learns your RH787T remote.

Check the label on the fan's motor housing: 59164 means you are in the right place. You wire it in where the old one sat, then press Set on your RH787T to pair.

When the light will not behave

A light that will not turn off, or will not turn on, while the fan still responds can point to a tired receiver. Check the bulbs first, then the receiver, since the receiver is what powers the light.

Where the receiver lives

The receiver sits in the canopy, the cover that hides the mounting bracket at the ceiling. Loosen the canopy screws and slide it down to see it. The label on the receiver itself is the surest way to confirm the part you have.

Before you order

• Receiver only. The remote is not included; it works with the RH787T remote.
• Have the fan's power off at the breaker before you lower the canopy.

Setup & Pairing

1. Switch off the breaker that feeds the fan.
2. Lower the canopy of your fan to reach the old receiver.
3. Photograph the wiring, then disconnect the old receiver.
4. Wire the new receiver exactly as the old one was wired and fold it back into the canopy.
5. Put the canopy back in place, then switch the breaker on.
6. Pair it: within 60 seconds of power-up, press Set on the RH787T, then let the fan finish its back-and-forth setup run of about 5 minutes.
7. Check off, all six speeds, reverse and the light.

Tip: pair with any other nearby fan switched off.
