About the Hampton Bay 52130 Remote

Model 52130 is Hampton Bay's 54-inch Fanelee ceiling fan in matte white, fitted with a color-changing LED light. A new remote is all it takes to bring back four fan speeds plus a natural breeze mode and full light control.

Choosing AAA batteries

Use fresh alkaline AAA cells from the same pack. Mixing an old cell with a new one, or a rechargeable with an alkaline, can shorten battery life and make the remote act up. Check the + and - marks in the compartment as you load them. If a cell ever leaks, clean the contacts with a cotton swab before putting new ones in.

Setting the four switches

Open the battery cover and you'll see four small switches. Read the pattern on your old remote, or on the receiver in the canopy with the power off, and copy it exactly. Four switches give 16 possible codes, so a single mismatch is enough to stop it working.

Check the model sticker on your fan against this page before you order.
It pairs with DIP switches and needs a working MR225A receiver. If your fan's receiver has failed, a new remote won't bring it back.

Setup & Pairing

Setup is a matter of matching a few tiny switches; no programming is involved.

Turn off power to the fan at the breaker.
Slide off the battery cover; the 4 DIP switches are inside.
Match each switch, up or down, to your receiver or old remote.
Install two AAA batteries, restore power, and test the speeds, breeze mode and light.

Take a photo of the final switch pattern and keep it with your fan's manual.
