About the Home Decorators Collection YG749-BRB-B Remote

Bring your Home Decorators Collection YG749-BRB-B back under control. This 9-speed replacement remote runs the Triplex fan with reverse, dimming, breeze modes and a fan-off timer, and it comes with a wall holder.

Look for YG749-BRB-B on the fan's model label or in the owner's manual to confirm the match. The remote pairs to the receiver already in your fan, so nothing needs to be rewired.

Pairs in about a minute with the Learn button
On, off and brightness for the fan light
Forward and reverse from the handset
Nine speed steps from a whisper-soft drift to full airflow

Find the number on your old remote

Flip the old handset over and slide off the battery door. The part number is usually printed on a sticker inside the compartment or molded into the plastic on the back. Read it under good light, because worn labels are easy to misread. If the sticker is gone, the fan manual or the original box often lists it.

Damp locations

Indoor/outdoor fans are rated for damp spots, yet the handset is ordinary electronics. Keep it dry, store it inside during storms, and dry the battery contacts if moisture gets in. Corroded contacts are the most common cause of failure on remotes used outdoors.

Before you order

For 9-speed DC fans only. It will not run AC fans or 6-speed DC fans.
It does not replace the RH787T, which is a different 6-speed remote.

Setup & Pairing

Pairing uses the Learn button and a quick power-cycle.

Install two AAA cells in the remote; you will need the open compartment for the next steps.
Move the small slide switch inside the compartment to position 1.
Shut off the fan circuit at the switch or breaker, pause briefly, and bring the power back.
Within 30 seconds, press and release the Learn button inside the battery compartment.
When the light flashes and the blades begin to spin, pairing is complete. No response? Start over from the power-cycle step.

Tip: check the slide switch first if pairing does not take.

In the box: one YG749-BRB-B replacement remote plus a wall mount holder and screws (AAA batteries sold separately).
