About the Progress Lighting P2630-30 Wall Control

A worn or failed P2630-30 doesn't mean a new fan. This wall control restores four speeds plus off and dimming for dimmable LEDs. With the wall plate off, P2630-30 is printed on the label on the side or back of the old wall control. The original is a gloss white slide control, about 2.75 by 4.25 inches, with one slide for the fan and a dimmer for the light.

If P2630-30 is the number on your old wall control, you're in the right place. Wire it to the fan and light circuits, then set the fan's pull chain to high.

Dimming LED bulbs

The full-range dimmer handles up to 300 watts of light, including dimmable LEDs. Choose bulbs marked dimmable and keep them the same brand in every socket for even dimming.

One fan per control

This control is rated for one fan. If two fans run from the same switch now, each needs its own control and its own wiring.

Before you order

Needs two separate circuits (one for the fan, one for the light); it will not dim the light over a single shared wire.
Not for multiple fans on one control.

Setup & Pairing

Plan on about half an hour, and have a voltage tester handy.

Turn off power at the breaker.
Hook up the house wires and the separate fan and light wires exactly as the instructions show.
Seat the control in the box, add the switch plate, turn the breaker on and pull the fan chain to high.

Tuck the wires neatly into the box so the control sits flat.
