Breaker or wall switch?

Either one works for the power-off, power-on step, as long as it actually cuts power to the fan. A wall switch is easier if it controls the fan circuit. If the fan is wired so the switch only controls a light, use the breaker instead. Wait a few seconds before restoring power.

Use the low speeds for reading, TV or dinner, where you want air moving without papers lifting. The middle of the range suits everyday cooling. Save the top speeds for workouts, hot afternoons or clearing a stuffy room fast. The fine steps let you match the activity.

Setup & Pairing

Pairing uses the Learn button and a quick power-cycle.

Put two fresh AAA batteries in the remote and leave the battery door off for now.
Set the compartment's slide switch to position 1.
Shut off the fan circuit at the switch or breaker, pause briefly, and bring the power back.
Press the Learn button once, within 30 seconds of power coming back.
When the light flashes and the blades begin to spin, pairing is complete. No response? Start over from the power-cycle step.
Refit the battery cover and give each button a quick test.

Tip: check the slide switch first if pairing does not take.
