About the Hampton Bay UC7083T Remote

Missing the UC7083T for your ceiling fan? This Comfort Direct replacement gives you back high, medium and low speeds, a dedicated off button and light control with dimming, without reaching for a pull chain.

It is made for fans that came with the UC7083T, such as the Hampton Bay Brookedale II, Ponte Vecchio and Reagan II. Check the label inside the battery cover: if it reads UC7083T, this is the one you need.

Mounting the wall holder

The wall mount and its screws come in the box. Put it near the room's light switch or beside your favorite chair, around shoulder height. Into bare drywall, use plastic anchors so the holder doesn't pull loose after a few months of use.

Can't reach the receiver?

If the canopy is hard to reach and the old remote is gone, you can find the code by trial. Set a pattern, try a button, then move to the next. With four switches there are only 16 patterns, so keep a list as you go.

Before you order

Your fan needs a matching 4-DIP-switch receiver, such as the UC7067FMRX or FAN28R. This remote does not include a receiver.
For AC-motor fans only. It will not run DC-motor, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi ceiling fans.
No reverse button. If your old remote is the UC7083TR with a reverse key, you need that version for reverse.

Setup & Pairing

Turn off power to the fan at the breaker.
Find the four DIP switches on the receiver inside the fan canopy.
Copy that pattern onto the switches under the battery door of the UC7083T remote.
Add a fresh 12V A23 battery.
Restore power and test each speed and the light.

In the box: UC7083T replacement remote, wall mount with screws.

What if my old remote has a different number?

Does it have a reverse button?

No. Fans that came with the UC7083TR reverse remote need that version to reverse from the remote.

What if I can't see the receiver's switches?

Try the 16 possible patterns one at a time until the fan responds, keeping a list as you go.

Why won't my lights dim?

Dimming needs incandescent or dimmable-rated bulbs. Non-dimmable LED or CFL bulbs may not dim.

The fan won't respond. What should I check?

Try a fresh A23 battery, confirm the breaker and wall switch are on, then recheck all four switches against the receiver.

When will my order ship?
