About the Progress Lighting P2501-30 Wall Control

Model P2501-30 is Progress Lighting's 52-inch AirPro ceiling fan. Swap in this control and you're back to fan speed and light dimming on separate circuits.

Confirm the model number on the fan's label before you order; this page is for the P2501-30. It needs separate fan and light wires from the wall box.

Safety before you start

Shut off the circuit at the breaker panel, not just the wall switch, and put a piece of tape over the breaker so nobody flips it back. Check the wires with a non-contact voltage tester before you touch them. If the box has more than one circuit, test every wire. Work with dry hands and a flashlight.

No receiver in the fan

Because this control wires straight to the fan, it shouldn't be used on a fan with a remote receiver in the canopy. Remote-ready AirPro fans use a different, receiver-based wall control.

Based on its product line, we expect the P2501-30 to use this wall control. Compare your old wall control with our photos, or send us a picture before you order.

Setup & Pairing

Plan on about half an hour, and have a voltage tester handy.

Turn off power at the breaker.
Wire the control to the fan and light circuits, following the included diagram.
Fasten the control, fit the plate, restore power, then set the fan's pull chain to its high position.

Tuck the wires neatly into the box so the control sits flat.
