About the Progress Lighting P2501-09 Wall Control

Model P2501-09 is Progress Lighting's 52-inch AirPro ceiling fan in brushed nickel. Our replacement wall control restores fan speed and light dimming on separate circuits.

If the sticker on your fan's motor housing says P2501-09, you've found the right page. It needs separate fan and light wires from the wall box.

  • Single-gang fit with switch plate included
  • Rated 120V, 1.25A fan motor
  • UL/cUL listed, indoor use
  • Gloss white finish

Two circuits needed

This control runs the fan and the light separately, so the wall box needs one wire to the fan and another to the light. If a single switched wire feeds both, the dimmer can't work without extra wiring. Look in the box: a red wire alongside the black is a common sign of separate circuits, but test before you assume.

No receiver in the fan

Because this control wires straight to the fan, it shouldn't be used on a fan with a remote receiver in the canopy. Remote-ready AirPro fans use a different, receiver-based wall control.

Before you order

  • Not for multiple fans on one control.
  • Not for fans with a remote receiver in the canopy; for remote-ready AirPro fans use the P2631-30 instead.

Setup & Pairing

If you've replaced a wall switch before, this will feel familiar.

  1. Shut off the circuit at the breaker panel.
  2. Wire the control to the fan and light circuits, following the included diagram.
  3. Seat the control in the box, add the switch plate, turn the breaker on and pull the fan chain to high.

Keep the instructions with your fan's manual for next time.

In the box: Replacement wall control for the Progress Lighting P2501-09 fan, plus a switch plate.
