About the Harbor Breeze FW60AGV3LR Receiver

Your FW60AGV3LR is a 60-in Harbor Breeze Fairwind ceiling fan with a galvanized/gray finish and built-in LED light. At Lowe's it carried item number 883804. If the fan runs on one speed, will not shut off or ignores the remote, the receiver in the canopy is the likely culprit. One wire-in swap gets the remote working again for speeds and the light.

Match the FW60AGV3LR on your fan's label to this page and you can order with confidence. Most people finish the swap in under an hour.

  • Light on/off and dimming
  • Runs at 304.25 MHz
  • Restores remote control without replacing the fan
  • Comfort Direct replacement receiver

Fan stuck on one speed

A fan that runs on only one speed, starts by itself, or will not shut off from the remote is showing a classic receiver fault. The motor is usually fine. Swapping the receiver puts the three speeds and off back under the remote's control, and the light usually comes back with it.

Don't forget the ground

The green or bare copper ground wire is easy to leave loose when you are focused on the receiver leads. Reconnect it to the bracket or ground screw just as it was before. It does not affect pairing, but it matters for safety.

Before you order

  • This receiver uses wire-nut leads. If your old one connects through a square plug, contact us first.

Setup & Pairing

  1. Turn off power to the FW60AGV3LR at the breaker.
  2. Lower the canopy and disconnect the old receiver, noting which wire went where.
  3. Connect the new receiver with wire nuts the same way the old one was connected.
  4. Make sure other fans with learning receivers are switched off, so only this one learns the remote.
  5. Bring the power back and press and hold the remote's 0 button within about 30 seconds; let go when the light blinks twice.
  6. Run all three speeds and try the light and dimming.

Tip: a helper at the breaker makes the 30-second pairing window easy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this replacement receiver for the Harbor Breeze FW60AGV3LR fit my ceiling fan?

It fits the 1 model listed under Compatible Models on this page. If your model isn’t listed, call us at (816) 586-8457 and we’ll check for you.

How close do I need to be for the remote to work?

Within a normal room it should respond. If you have to stand right under the fan, try a fresh remote battery first.

Any tip for getting the wiring right?

Take a phone photo of the old connections before you disconnect anything, then match the new receiver to it.

What frequency does it use?

It runs at 304.25 MHz and pairs with the learning-code remotes listed on this page.

Can I pair a different remote later?

Yes, as long as it is one of the listed learning-code remotes. Cycle the power and hold 0 until the light blinks twice.

Why does my light flicker when dimmed?

Usually the bulbs. If your fan takes screw-in bulbs, use dimmable ones of the same type in every socket.

When will my order ship?

In-stock orders placed by 4 PM, Monday to Friday, ship the same business day.
