About the Harbor Breeze BRD48MWW6LR Receiver
Your BRD48MWW6LR is a 48-in Harbor Breeze Bradbury ceiling fan with a matte white finish and built-in LED light. At Lowe's it carried item number 4143804. A dead remote with a good battery usually points to the receiver, not the fan. One wire-in swap gets the remote working again for speeds and the light.
Match the BRD48MWW6LR on your fan's label to this page and you can order with confidence. Most people finish the swap in under an hour.
- Restores remote control without replacing the fan
- Light on/off and dimming
- 1-year warranty, in-stock orders ship same day
- Dimmable light control
If the light flickers when dimmed
Flicker at low dim levels usually comes from the bulbs, not the receiver. If your fan takes screw-in bulbs, use ones marked dimmable, and use the same type in every socket. Mixing old and new bulbs, or LED and incandescent, can cause uneven dimming.
Finding the model label
The model number is printed on a label on top of the motor housing, and often on the fan box and manual too. With the power off, you can usually read it from a ladder. Matching that label to the number on this page is the quickest way to confirm the fit.
Before you order
- This receiver uses wire-nut leads. If your old one connects through a square plug, contact us first.
Setup & Pairing
Here is the whole job, start to finish.
- Turn off power to the BRD48MWW6LR at the breaker.
- Open the canopy and remove the old receiver, writing down which lead joined which wire.
- Wire in the new receiver lead for lead, following your photo, and twist each wire nut snug.
- Switch off other ceiling fans in the area so they stay out of the pairing.
- Flip the breaker on and, inside about 30 seconds, press and hold 0 on the remote. Two blinks from the light mean it paired.
- Try low, medium and high, then the light, before closing up the canopy.
Tip: if the light does not blink, turn the power off for a few seconds and try again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this replacement receiver for the Harbor Breeze BRD48MWW6LR fit my ceiling fan?
It fits the 1 model listed under Compatible Models on this page. If your model isn’t listed, call us at (816) 586-8457 and we’ll check for you.
How close do I need to be for the remote to work?
Within a normal room it should respond. If you have to stand right under the fan, try a fresh remote battery first.
Any tip for getting the wiring right?
Take a phone photo of the old connections before you disconnect anything, then match the new receiver to it.
Can I reverse the fan from the remote?
This receiver controls speed and light. If your fan has a direction switch on the motor housing, stop the fan and use that switch.
My fan stopped responding after a storm. Is it the receiver?
Quite possibly. Power surges often damage the receiver while the motor survives. Check the breaker and wall switch first.
How long does the swap take?
Most people finish in under an hour. Lowering the canopy and reconnecting the wires takes the longest; pairing takes about 30 seconds.
When will my order ship?
In-stock orders placed by 4 PM, Monday to Friday, ship the same business day.
What is your return policy?
You can return items within 90 days. Items must be unused and uninstalled, in their original packaging. No restocking fees. Please read our return policy before sending anything back. Questions? Call (816) 586-8457 or email info@fanremotes.com.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Every product we sell comes with a 1-year warranty against defects. If it fails because of a defect, contact us and we’ll send a replacement.
