About the Home Decorators Collection AM676-BN Remote

The AM676-BN is a Lincolnshire DC ceiling fan from Home Decorators Collection, and it depends on its handheld remote for almost everything. This replacement handles speed, reverse, the light and dimmer, the timer and breeze modes in one unit.

Check the model sticker on top of the motor housing, or the box and manual, and make sure it reads AM676-BN. Pairing takes about a minute with the Learn button, and there are no DIP switches.

Light color on select receivers

Some fan receivers support light color selection. On those fans, this remote can step the light between color temperatures as well as dim it. On fans whose receiver does not offer color selection, the button simply has no extra effect, and on/off and dimming work as usual.

Two fans in one room

Pair one fan at a time. Learn-code receivers listen to the first remote that signals during the pairing window, so cut power to the second fan at its breaker while you set up the first. Then restore power and pair the second fan with its own remote.

Setup & Pairing

Here is the full pairing sequence.

Open the back of the remote and fit two new AAA batteries, matching the + marks.
Make sure the little slide switch in the battery bay reads 1.
Switch the fan's power off, either at the wall or at the breaker panel, and turn it back on.
Right away, while the 30-second window is open, press Learn and let go.
A flashing light and moving blades confirm the pairing. If you see neither, run the steps again.
Snap the battery door back on and test speed, light and reverse.

Tip: stand where you can see the fan before restoring power.

In the box: one AM676-BN replacement remote plus a wall mount holder and screws (AAA batteries sold separately).
