About the Hampton Bay AL101BN Remote

A 60-in Brookedale II moves a lot of air in a big room, and walking over to it every time you want a change gets old fast. This replacement puts the AL101BN's three speeds, off and its dimmable light back in your hand.

It is made for the Hampton Bay AL101BN. Find the model on the label on top of the motor housing, then set four DIP switches to match the receiver in the canopy.

Receivers it works with

Inside the canopy you should find a 304 MHz receiver with four DIP switches. Common ones include the UC7067RC, UC7067FMRX, FAN28R, FAN28R-UD, UC7067GMRX and UC7058RY. If yours carries a different label, send us a photo and we'll check it.

One light button or two?

Some fans in these collections shipped with a remote that has separate up-light and down-light buttons. This one has a single light button for on, off and dimming. If your old remote had two light keys, compare it with our photos before you order.

Before you order

Your fan needs a matching 4-DIP-switch receiver, such as the UC7067FMRX or FAN28R. This remote does not include a receiver.

Setup & Pairing

Setup takes a few minutes with a screwdriver and a step ladder.

Switch off the fan's circuit at the breaker panel.
Open the canopy and note the up/down pattern on the receiver's switches.
Match the remote's four DIP switches to the receiver, one switch at a time.
Restore power and test each speed and the light.
Insert one 12V A23 battery (not included).
