Nine steps give you far finer control than a three-speed pull chain. Tap the plus or minus button to move one step at a time, or hold it to run through the range. Many people settle on two favorites: a low setting for evenings and a mid-high setting for warm days.

Use the low speeds for reading, TV or dinner, where you want air moving without papers lifting. The middle of the range suits everyday cooling. Save the top speeds for workouts, hot afternoons or clearing a stuffy room fast. The fine steps let you match the activity.

Setup & Pairing

Have the remote in hand before you touch the power, since timing matters.

Open the back of the remote and fit two new AAA batteries, matching the + marks.
Push the slide switch inside the battery area to setting 1.
Shut off the fan circuit at the switch or breaker, pause briefly, and bring the power back.
Right away, while the 30-second window is open, press Learn and let go.
When the light flashes and the blades begin to spin, pairing is complete. No response? Start over from the power-cycle step.
Refit the battery cover and give each button a quick test.

Tip: fresh batteries make the first try far more likely to work.
