The 59252 lets you choose a light tone, and that choice lives on the remote. This replacement restores the three speeds and off, press-and-hold dimming and a color temperature button for its 2700K, 3000K and 5000K settings.

It is made for the Home Decorators Collection 59252 in brushed nickel. Find 59252 on the motor housing label or the box, then copy four DIP switches from the receiver.

Choosing a light tone

This fan's light offers 2700K, 3000K and 5000K. The warm 2700K setting suits bedrooms and evenings in the living room. 5000K is cool and crisp, closer to daylight, which helps in a kitchen or home office. 3000K sits in between and works almost anywhere.

Setup & Pairing

Setup takes a few minutes and needs no programming.

Open the battery compartment on the new remote; the small switch bank sits inside.
Leave switch 5 on for a dimmable light, or turn it off for one that can't dim.
Line up switches 1 to 4 with the code from your old remote, flipping each one until the two match exactly.
No record of the old code? Work through the 16 combinations one at a time until the fan responds.
Insert one 12V A23 battery (sold separately), close the cover, then try each speed and the light button.

In the box: Replacement remote for the 59252 fan, a wall holder with 2 screws, and the programming manual. The A23 battery is sold separately.
