About the Home Decorators Collection 54724 Remote

The matte black Mercer 54724 has an integrated LED light, so its remote is how you set both the fan and the brightness. This replacement restores high, medium, low, off, light on/off and dimming.

It is made for the Home Decorators Collection 54724. Find 54724 on the motor housing label, then copy the receiver's four DIP switches onto the remote.

The A23 battery

The remote runs on one 12V A23 battery, a slim cylinder sold near the watch batteries. It is not included, so buy one with the remote. When the range shrinks or buttons work only up close, a fresh battery is the first thing to try.

Keeping the remote working

Keep the remote dry, away from the stove and out of direct sun on a windowsill. Wipe it with a barely damp cloth rather than spraying cleaner. If it spends summers on a porch, bring it in when the weather turns.

Before you order

Your fan needs a matching 4-DIP-switch receiver, such as the UC7067FMRX or FAN28R. This remote does not include a receiver.
If your old remote has separate up-light and down-light buttons, compare it with our product photos before you order.

Setup & Pairing

Here is the whole setup, start to finish.

Add a fresh 12V A23 battery.
Turn off power to the fan at the breaker.
Find the four DIP switches on the receiver inside the fan canopy.
Copy that pattern onto the switches under the battery door of the remote.
Put the canopy back, restore power and check every button.

In the box: Replacement remote for the 54724 fan; wall mount; mounting screws. Add one 12V A23 battery.
