2BLBD-FA0308 is the FCC number printed on the label of the original Harbor Breeze remote. If that remote is lost or worn out, this Comfort Direct replacement gives you three fan speeds, dimming, color temperature, breeze mode, a timer and Home Shield again.

If the remote suddenly stops

Check the simple things first: the wall switch, the breaker and the battery. If all three are fine, run the pairing steps again. If the fan still won't answer, the receiver may be the problem, and our team can help you work out what's going on.

Leave the wall switch on

The receiver in the fan needs power to hear the remote. If someone flips the wall switch off, the remote stops working until it's turned back on. A simple switch guard or a strip of painter's tape is an easy fix in homes where the switch gets bumped.

Before you order

Only for fans that came with the 2BLBD-FA0308 remote. Check the number on the back of your old remote or in the battery compartment.
Not for Harbor Breeze Mac II fans (42468, 42481), which use a different remote, or for remotes with DIP switches or 2 x AAA batteries.
No receiver included, and not a universal remote.

Setup & Pairing

Put a new A23 battery in the remote, matching the + mark.
Switch off the fan for around 10 seconds using the wall switch or breaker, then restore power.
Within 30 seconds of restoring power, press the LEARN button inside the battery compartment. A small screwdriver or pen tip helps.
The fan or light responds to confirm pairing. If not, repeat the power cycle and press LEARN again within 30 seconds.
Check the speeds, light and color buttons, and put the holder up by the switch.

In the box: 2BLBD-FA0308 replacement remote, a wall holder and its screws. Add one A23 battery.
