About the Hampton Bay 167388 Remote

The Miramar II 60-in in oil brushed bronze is a big fan for a big room, and 167388 is the store item number printed on its box and receipt. This replacement remote restores its three speeds, off and dimmable light.

It is made for the Hampton Bay Miramar II, item 167388. Check the fan's paperwork or label, then set four DIP switches to the same pattern as the receiver in the canopy.

AC motors only

This remote works with AC-motor fans that use a 4-DIP-switch receiver. It won't run DC-motor fans, or fans controlled over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, because those use completely different receivers. If your fan came with an app, this isn't the remote for it.

Big fan, big room

A 60-in fan usually hangs in a great room or open plan space where the wall switch is far from the couch. Mount the holder near your seating, and try the low speed first: a large fan moves plenty of air even at its slowest.

Before you order

Your fan needs a matching 4-DIP-switch receiver, such as the UC7067FMRX or FAN28R. This remote does not include a receiver.
For AC-motor fans only. It will not run DC-motor, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi ceiling fans.

Setup & Pairing

Turn off power to the fan at the breaker.
Find the four DIP switches on the receiver inside the fan canopy.
Copy that pattern onto the switches under the battery door of the remote.
Put the canopy back, restore power and check every button.
Put in a 12V A23 battery and close the cover.

In the box: Replacement remote for the 167388 fan; wall mount; mounting screws. Add one 12V A23 battery.
