Will This Remote Fit?
This remote is made to replace the 2AQZU-18015. Check the label on your old remote (often inside the battery cover) — if it reads 2AQZU-18015, this is the one you need.

About the Hampton Bay 2AQZU-18015 Remote
Our replacement for the 2AQZU-18015 brings back dimming, color temperature, a light delay timer and four speeds, so you can run your Hampton Bay fan from across the room again. Flip the old remote over: 2AQZU-18015 sits after the FCC mark on the back label, sometimes inside the battery door instead. Look under the battery cover: four small DIP switches beside two AAA batteries is the layout this remote uses.
We built this one for fans that shipped with the 2AQZU-18015. Pairing is by switches in the battery compartment, with no account or app.
- Delay timer for the light
- Pairs with 4 DIP switches, no app needed
- Works with the MR225A receiver
- Wall mount included
Using the light delay timer
The delay timer turns the light off a short time after you press it, so you can cross the room or head down the hall before it goes dark. It's handy in bedrooms and at the end of the night in a family room.
Setting the four switches
Open the battery cover and you'll see four small switches. Read the pattern on your old remote, or on the receiver in the canopy with the power off, and copy it exactly. Four switches give 16 possible codes, so a single mismatch is enough to stop it working.
Before you order
- Only fits fans with the Hampton Bay MR225A Smart Hubspace receiver. Fans with learning-code receivers need a different remote.
- If your old remote shows a different number, such as TR240B or 2AQZU-18016, contact us before you order.
Setup & Pairing
Have a pen or small screwdriver handy for the DIP switches.
- Shut off the fan's circuit at the breaker.
- Slide off the battery cover; the 4 DIP switches are inside.
- Copy the switch pattern from your old remote, or from the receiver in the canopy.
- Put in two AAA batteries, turn the power back on and try each speed, breeze and the light.
If a neighbor's fan or your garage door reacts, change the pattern on both the receiver and the remote.
In the box: 2AQZU-18015 replacement remote plus a wall mount bracket.

Two AAA batteries. They are not included.
Which fans use it?

Does it dim the light and change the color?
Yes. It dims the light, changes the color temperature, and has a light delay timer.
My fan still won't respond. What now?
