About the Hampton Bay UC7051R Receiver

A failed UC7051R can't be fixed with a new remote. This receiver brings back full control of speeds, reverse and the down light. Look for UC7051R on the label on the receiver's housing once the canopy is lowered. Compare the connector on your old receiver with ours before you install.

If UC7051R is on your old receiver, you're in the right place. It uses your existing remote; just match the DIP switches.

Compare the connector

This receiver installs with the fan's existing wiring harness. Before you install, compare the plug on your old receiver with this one. When they match, there's no rewiring in the fan.

Getting reverse to work

Reverse works with a remote that has a reverse button, on a fan built for remote reverse. If your remote has no reverse key, the fan's slide switch still handles direction.

Before you order

Not universal: match the model number on your old receiver and compare the connector before buying.
Not the same as UC7051G, UC7067RC, UC7067FMRX or FAN28R receivers.
Not for Minka-Aire fans.

Setup & Pairing

Compare the connector before you start.

Turn off power to the fan at the breaker.
Write down the DIP switch pattern in your remote.
Set the receiver's DIP switches to match, switch for switch.
Install the receiver in the fan's switch housing or canopy using the existing harness or wire connections.
Power up and test all the remote's buttons.

If a button doesn't work, recheck the DIP switches.
