About the Casablanca C31U11B Receiver

Remote trouble on a Casablanca C31U11B usually comes down to two parts: the remote and the receiver. If a new battery did not help, the receiver is the likely fix. This one installs in the canopy and pairs with your RH787T in a few minutes.

One remote, one fan

If you have two fans nearby that use the same type of receiver, pair each one separately. Leave the other fan switched off at the breaker while you pair, so only the fan you want learns the remote.

Light and dimming

The receiver powers the fan light, with on/off and dimming from the RH787T. If your bulbs are LEDs and flicker when dimmed, set the remote's light switch in the battery compartment to on/off only.

Before you order

Not for AC-motor Casablanca fans or Casablanca 4-speed universal receiver systems.

Setup & Pairing

Turn off power to the fan at the breaker, not just the wall switch.
Drop the canopy so you can see the receiver inside.
Snap a picture of every connection before you unhook the old unit.
Wire the new receiver exactly as the old one was wired and fold it back into the canopy.
Reinstall the canopy and restore power at the breaker.
Press the Set button on your RH787T within 60 seconds of restoring power, and wait about 5 minutes while the fan runs both ways.
Try every button to confirm the fan and light respond.

Tip: if pairing fails, cycle power again and press Set sooner.
