Setup & Pairing

Switch off the breaker that feeds the fan, then confirm the power is off.
Drop the canopy, unscrew the wire nuts on the old receiver and note each connection.
Join each lead of the new receiver to the matching wire with a wire nut, copying the old hookup.
Switch off other ceiling fans in the area so they stay out of the pairing.
With the remote ready, turn the power on and hold 0 (fan off) within about 30 seconds until you see the light blink twice.
Cycle through the speeds and the light to confirm everything responds.

Can I reverse the fan from the remote?

This receiver controls speed and light. If your fan has a direction switch on the motor housing, stop the fan and use that switch.
