About the Casablanca 59511 Receiver

If the light on your Casablanca 59511 flickers on its own, the speeds jump, or nothing works at all, the receiver in the canopy deserves a look. This replacement is made for the fan and pairs with the RH787T remote you already have.

Tucking the receiver back in

Canopies are snug. Fold the wires neatly, keep every connection secure, and slide the receiver back in so no wire gets pinched when the canopy goes up. Take your time here; a pinched wire causes trouble later.

Stuck on one speed

A DC fan stuck on one speed, or one that ignores speed changes, often points to the receiver rather than the motor. After checking the remote battery, a new receiver is the usual next step.

Before you order

Have the fan's power off at the breaker before you lower the canopy.
Not a universal receiver. It is made for Casablanca DC fans that came with the RH787T remote.

Setup & Pairing

Switch off the breaker that feeds the fan.
Loosen the canopy screws and slide the canopy down to expose the receiver.
Before disconnecting anything, take a photo of how the old receiver is wired. Then disconnect it.
Connect the replacement receiver the same way, keeping the connections secure, and tuck it neatly back into the canopy.
Put the canopy back in place, then switch the breaker on.
Press the Set button on your RH787T within 60 seconds of restoring power, and wait about 5 minutes while the fan runs both ways.
Try every button to confirm the fan and light respond.

Tip: a helper on the ground saves trips up and down the ladder.
