About the Harbor Breeze TG44OSB3D1RC Receiver

Model TG44OSB3D1RC is the 44-in Beach Creek fan from Harbor Breeze with a bronze finish and built-in LED light. It was sold at Lowe's as item 923049. Heat and power surges wear out receivers over time, and when that happens the remote goes quiet. This replacement connects with wire nuts and restores three speeds, off and a dimmable light.

Don't forget the ground

The green or bare copper ground wire is easy to leave loose when you are focused on the receiver leads. Reconnect it to the bracket or ground screw just as it was before. It does not affect pairing, but it matters for safety.

Tucking it back in

Fold the wires neatly and slide the receiver into the bracket area so nothing gets pinched when the canopy goes back up. Keep the wire nuts pointing up and away from sharp metal edges. If the canopy will not close, rearrange the wires rather than forcing it.

Before you order

Remotes that use DIP switches will not pair with it.

Setup & Pairing

Start with the breaker: turn it off and check that the TG44OSB3D1RC is dead.
Open the canopy and remove the old receiver, writing down which lead joined which wire.
Hook up the replacement receiver with wire nuts exactly as the old one was wired, then tuck it into the canopy.
Switch off other ceiling fans in the area so they stay out of the pairing.
Bring the power back and press and hold the remote's 0 button within about 30 seconds; let go when the light blinks twice.
Try low, medium and high, then the light, before closing up the canopy.
