About the Casablanca 59106 Receiver

The Casablanca 59106 is a DC-motor fan, and every command from the remote passes through the receiver hidden in its canopy. When that receiver fails, the fan goes quiet no matter which button you press. This replacement takes its place and listens to your RH787T again.

Check the label on the fan's motor housing: 59106 means you are in the right place. The swap happens at the canopy, then it pairs with your RH787T.

Receiver or remote: which failed?

Start with the cheap test: put a fresh battery in your RH787T remote. If the fan still ignores every button, and the wall switch and breaker are on, the receiver is the likely culprit. A receiver can also fail partway, running one speed or leaving the light stuck on.

Keep your remote

Your existing RH787T remote works with this receiver, so there is nothing else to buy if the remote itself is fine. If it is lost or broken, order the remote separately; it is not in this box.

Before you order

Not a universal receiver. It is made for Casablanca DC fans that came with the RH787T remote.
Have the fan's power off at the breaker before you lower the canopy.

Setup & Pairing

Cut power at the breaker panel and confirm the fan is dead.
Loosen the canopy screws and slide the canopy down to expose the receiver.
Snap a picture of every connection before you unhook the old unit.
Wire the new receiver exactly as the old one was wired and fold it back into the canopy.
Raise the canopy, tighten its screws and turn the breaker back on.
Pair it: within 60 seconds of power-up, press Set on the RH787T, then let the fan finish its back-and-forth setup run of about 5 minutes.
Try every button to confirm the fan and light respond.

Tip: keep canopy screws in a cup so none get lost.
