About the Hampton Bay 52131 Remote

The Hampton Bay 52131 is the 54-inch Fanelee ceiling fan in matte black with a color-changing LED light. Our replacement remote handles four speeds, natural breeze, dimming and color temperature control, so the fan works the way it did out of the box.

It is made for the Hampton Bay 52131. Check the model sticker on the fan: if it reads 52131, this is the remote you need. It needs two AAA batteries and a quick DIP switch match.

Once the remote is set up, run through every button in order: each fan speed, off, and every light function. Try all four speeds, natural breeze, the light, dimming, color temperature and the delay timer. If one function doesn't respond while the others do, note which one before you contact us, since that points to the fix.

Natural breeze mode

Natural breeze varies the airflow for a softer, more outdoor feel than a steady speed. Many people like it for sleeping. Press one of the four speed keys whenever you want steady air again.

Only fits fans with the Hampton Bay MR225A Smart Hubspace receiver. Fans with learning-code receivers need a different remote.

Setup & Pairing

No learning step or app is needed; the code is set by switches.

Switch the breaker for the fan off before you start.
Remove the battery cover to reach the four small switches.
Match each switch, up or down, to your receiver or old remote.
Load two AAA batteries, switch the power back on, then test every button.

If nothing happens, recheck that every switch matches; one switch off is enough to stop it.
