Pairing uses the Learn button and a quick power-cycle.

Put two fresh AAA batteries in the remote and leave the battery door off for now.
Set the compartment's slide switch to position 1.
Power-cycle the fan: off at the wall switch or breaker, then on again.
Right away, while the 30-second window is open, press Learn and let go.
Success looks like a light flash plus turning blades. Otherwise, repeat from the top.
Snap the battery door back on and test speed, light and reverse.

Tip: mount the wall holder after you confirm the remote works. Tip: leave the wall switch on after pairing so the receiver keeps power.
