About the Home Decorators Collection 59259 Remote

The matte black 59259 is an indoor 52 in. fan whose LED light changes tone at the press of a button. This replacement remote brings back that button, plus three fan speeds, off and smooth dimming.

It is made for the Home Decorators Collection 59259. Check the label on top of the motor or in the owner's manual for 59259, then match four DIP switches to the receiver.

Battery tips

The remote takes one 12V A23 battery, a small cylinder sold near the watch batteries in most stores. It isn't included, so pick one up before the remote arrives. If range starts to shrink, a fresh battery is the first fix to try.

Storing spare batteries

A23 batteries keep well in a cool, dry drawer. Leave them in the package so the ends can't touch keys or coins. If a vacation home sits empty for months, take the battery out of the remote so a leak can't damage the contacts.

Setup & Pairing

Pairing is done with switches, not button sequences.

Turn the new remote over and take off the battery door to reach the code switches.
Set switches 1 to 4 to the same up/down pattern as your old remote.
If neither the old remote nor the receiver is available, test each of the 16 patterns in turn.
Add the A23 battery, replace the cover and run through high, medium, low, off and the light.
Set switch 5 to off if your light isn't dimmable, which stops flicker.

In the box: Replacement remote for the 59259 fan; wall mount holder; two mounting screws; programming manual. Add your own 12V A23 battery.
